Brunch Look ft.Rimyrah

Hey Amigos,

So is everyone excited for the new year?? I really can't believe it would be 2016 in less than 2 days. It was like 2015 has just started. Time really flies too fast. This is going to be my last post of 2015. Coming on to today's outfit, it is a very chic as well as comfortable dress from rimyrah.com. The brand is very well known for its stylish collection. You get latest clothes as well as accessories of international standards at a very affordable and pocket-friendly price. The site has a solution for all your wardrobe dilemmas. Go check out their site once and I am sure you would get outfits and accessories for your every needs.

The dress that I am wearing is a very versatile piece. You can wear it to formal gatherings, brunch and even for New Year Eve party by accessorizing it accordingly. The look I have created with the dress is a brunch look. The dress has an off-white bust with navy blue bottom part. The dress is made up of chiffon and is very comfortable to wear. It also has an inner lining. The dress just ends a bit below my knees and has an O-neck line. The dress is fitted till waist and is a bit flowy from bottom. The pleats effect does give a very classy look to the dress.

For the accessories part I just carried a brown handbag. As it was going to be a brunch look I did not go for too heavy makeup. For base makeup I used Maybelline BB cream and Maybelline Super Fresh Compact Powder. To hide all the blemishes I used Revlon Photoready Concealer. I used Maybelline Colossal eyeliner and kajal for my eyes. For lips I went with a pink lip color. I used Crushed Candy from Maybelline Color Show Lip color range.  I wore my most comfortable pair of black heels to go with the dress.

It was all about how I styled the dress. You can even wear a belt to add a completely new dimension to the dress. For night time look, keeping the makeup a little bit loud would complement the dress perfectly.

That was all about my brunch look. Do let me know if you liked the look or not. And wish you all a Very Happy New Year in Advance.

Christmas with SBL

Hey all,

I hope all of you are ready for Christmas. I am really very excited as I am going for a small trip with my family and friends and it is going to be a super awesome weekend. Before leaving for the trip I thought of sharing an outfit which might help you solve your Christmas dilemmas.

Red is the color which comes to everyone's mind when we think of Christmas and I am no exception. I choose the "Red Power Dress" from stalkbuylove.com for my Christmas outfit as I had been eyeing it since quite a long time. What attracted me towards the dress was the black shoe lace kind of detailing near the waist. I always fancy clothes or stuff which have shoe lace detailing. It just intrigues my mind. The dress was just perfect and accentuated my curves. The dress is made up of polyester georgette with a polyester crepe lining and is just comfortable to wear even for the whole day. The concealed zipper on side just provides the perfect fit.

I wanted the look to have a winter feel to it and thus wore a black beret cap with ankle-length boots. The dress can also be paired with a black leather jacket to save you from the winter chill.Apart from this, you can even wear black stocking and knee-length boots. The dress is very versatile and you can dress it as per your mood and liking.

I am a very minimal accessory kind of person and when you have such a pretty dress you obviously would want all focus on it. I went for the statement red pout. Lately I have been loving dark lip shades a lot. I got a MAC Rogue in Rich Maroon color from fashion_n_style_diva. It is an Instagram based e-retail store and they were too sweet to provide me lip colors. Their delivery is very swift and they have a very wide range of makeup and other girly stuff. Every girl should check out their page once, you would not be disappointed.

That was all about my Christmas look. I would be back soon with another post. Till than keep showering your love and blessings.

The Big Fat Indian Wedding

Hello Guys,

I am back with another post. This time I am going completely desi with my look. Most of you guys don't know but I would prefer Indian wear over Western wear any day and my close group of people even suggest me to try it as it suits me more. The outfit that I am sharing with you all is one I wore for my cousin's Sangeet function.

I was very excited about the wedding because it is the time when you get to meet your near and dear ones. Nowadays everyone is so preoccupied with their lives that we rarely get to interact with our relatives. I love the concept of big fat Indian wedding. All the functions have a significance of their own and from all I love Sangeet the most. Everyone is in their jolliest of moods, dancing away the whole night putting forward their best dresses.

I was very confused as what to wear for the function. I did not want to wear the usual lehenga choli but something unusual and comfortable. fabboom.com came to my rescue at the right time. This pretty anarkali over a lehenga just sorted out my dilemma. The best part about this outfit is that it can be worn in three different ways. I have already styled it in one way. For the second look you can get the net removed from the anarkali and it would be converted into a pretty choli. As for the third look you can pair the anarkali with a churidar or ethnic pants. I choose this style as it was unique as well as apt for the function. You can see how it can be styled in different ways here.

The fabric of the whole outfit is super comfortable. The anarkali is made up of velvet till bust with a net below it. The lehenga has a crepe inner with a net flower printed outer part. For the accessories part I wore chandbali earrings and a golden handcuff. The handcuff is so versatile that it would even go with western outfits. For makeup I applied golden eyeshadow all over my eyelids and applied a dark red lip color on my lips. I have applied nail paints in Gold and Copper from Miss Nails. I received the perfect shade for the wedding season. Two coats are enough for a perfect finish and they stay on nails without chipping for almost 5-6 days.

That is all for my wedding look. I hope you guys liked it, Keep showering your love and blessings.

Outfit Ideas for First Date

Hello,

Are you all enjoying the winter chill? I feel so cold that I dread to even go out of my home. A blanket and a cup of coffee is all I need to feel cozy and warm. It is also the season of parties and weddings. You get to meet new people and you might be asked out for a date. The fairer sex is always confused regarding what to wear and when it comes to getting ready for first date we tend to freak out. We should always dress in such a manner that the other person gets impressed and it doesn't feel as if you are going OTT because as the saying goes first impression is the last impression.

In this post, I have two different looks for you. In both the looks I am wearing tops from shopnineteen.com. You should definitely check out the site for an amazing collection of trendy and affordable clothes. They stock new products every fortnight and also have some impressive offers going now and then. If you are a student you also get student discount. I have been shopping with them for last 3 years and their product quality has never let me down.

I have styled both the tops with a black washed denim for Roadster. The denim is super soft and I could wear it like forever without feeling even a bit uncomfortable. Coming to the first look, I paired a very colorful top with black accents on the hemline and sleeves. The design on the sleeves and the color were enough to grab my attention. The top is made up of polyester and makes you feel at ease. I wore a very trendy watch cum bracelet to go with the look. I completed the look with a fuchsia pink sling bag with magazine print on the flap.

In the second look I have worn a cute bow-tie up top. The top is perfect because it is not revealing but still has that touch of glamour to the look. This one is also made up of super soft polyester fabric. I paired an envelope clutch which just has enough space for all your cards and money. The wooden bangles in black and pink just complemented the whole look.

I kept my makeup really very light. I used Maybelline New York White Super Fresh compact to keep oil at bay. Even in this season my T-zone gets oily super soon and this compact comes to my rescue. The colossal range helped me in accentuating my eyes. For my lips I have used the recent launches by Maybelline- Baby Lips Candy Wow. For the first look I have used Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow in Orange whereas for second one I used Raspberry.

Coming on to a quick review of Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow, the packaging is super cute. It is quite different from the usual baby lips. The formula of the lip balms is quite hydrating and it keeps my extremely dry lips soft for 3-4 hours. It provides a very nice tint on lips. The only down side is the price because you pay a higher price than your normal baby lips for a lesser quantity.

That was all about the outfits. I am including some tips to help you ace that perfect first date look:
1. Don't wear too revealing outfits. The other person might get a wrong message.
2. Wear clothes that you are comfortable in. A simple tee and a pair of well fitted denim would make a better impression instead of ill fitted clothes.
3. Go light on makeup. Guys prefer girls who enhance their natural beauty rather than going artificial.
4. Wear a good comfortable pair of footwear. Keep those sky-high heels away for a while and rock your pair of flats or wedges so that you don't have to fear tumbling.
5. Always wear your pretty smile. A grumpy face is a complete turn off.

Thank you.

Turning 21 the Quirky way!

Hello Guys,

So guys it was my 21st birthday. The timing is just perfect. I finished my CAT examination just a day before I turn 21. The exam went good, more than what I expected and thus it calls for double celebrations. Birthdays always hold a special place in my life. Not just mine but I am equally excited for birthdays of people near and dear to me. You should always celebrate the day when you came into this awesome world, shouldn't you? You also get lots of gifts and surprises and I love to get pampered(every girl does).

Coming to my birthday dress, I already had a purple dress ready but thanks to my adorable parents they surprised me with a new dress. The dress I got as my birthday present is from the fall collection of 109 F. The midi dress is plain black till bust with monochrome stripes on the back. What I loved the most was the paisley print it has below the bust. It is perfect dress for fall and I love how it fits me. I could not have asked for a better birthday dress. I seriously have to mention that my mummy dearest knows fashion better than me and also what would suit me and what not. The dress has a black belt with gold accents which keeps it fitted from the waist. The dress is made up of viscose and I feel at ease wearing it. It is a perfect combination of style with comfort.

As the dress was a surprise for me I did not have any idea of what accessories I was going to pair with it. I had bought an oxodised handcuff during Navratri with a red stone in the centre. It just complemented the dress pretty well and gave it a boho look. Other than that I did not wear any accessories because the dress was perfect on its own.

Did you guys have a look at my nails? I have applied "Prom Queen" and "Passion Fruit" nail paints by Stay Quirky. The brand has an amazingly vast collection of nail paints. They are priced at pocket friendly rates and stay on for days at length. The nail paints have the perfect consistency and dry really fast. They do not chip for 4-5 days even without a top coat. I am absolutely in love with this cute little nail paints. It was a very sweet gesture from their side to send me this vibrant shades. The shades were not glittery but had little shimmers in them which gave them a nice glossy effect when applied on nails. For makeup, I went with bright lips and kept my other makeup toned down.

I had an amazing 21st birthday all thanks to my friends, family and my well wishers. Thanks for showering your love and blessing.
